In the Kitchen

There are many energy wasters in the kitchen, some of which are hidden but also obvious. Be it cooking and baking, or the way you do the dishes.

It is also worth taking a closer look at the individual devices such as the refrigerator and subjecting them to a thorough examination.

Advantage from boiling

When preparing tea or boiling water for pasta/spaghetti stop the ventilation in the kitchen to preserve the heat.

The moist is very useful during winter when air is usually dry.

Cold things in only

You have some delicious cooked food left for the next day? Let the food cool before you put it in the fridge. Otherwise, your refrigerator will have to work even harder to cool down the new addition.

Consider the recommended minimum temperature for your goods when reducing the temperature! LIVISI is not liable for any damage. Tip #13

Cool defrost

If you defrost frozen things in the refrigerator, then your refrigerator uses less energy to cool.

Side-effect: you do not cool the apartment with the frozen goods.

Use the entire storage space of the refrigerator, because the emptier your fridge is, the more cooling air is needed.

The more food is stored in the device, the less air has to be kept cool.

Keep it closed

Out of boredom, check again whether the refrigerator magically contains something new?

Toaster first?

The oven is not always the most energy-saving option for heating-up food.

For example, you can heat/bake buns faster and more economically with a toaster with a bun attachment.

Smaller amounts of meat should also be warmed up on the stove.

Use after-heat

Since heat is still given off for up to 10 minutes after the oven has been switched off, you can use this time.

Heat another meal or turn off the oven 5-10 minutes earlier.

Use the afterheat

Your electric stove warms up your food even if you turn off the stove 5 minutes earlier. So you can save energy with every cooking cycle - thanks to afterheat.

Please note that an induction hob heats up much more efficiently and therefore does not give off as much afterheat.
