Smoke detector (without long life batterie)

304-product-image-wsd-s-1-pngMore security for you and your loved ones: With intelligent smoke detectors, your house and apartment are safer - from the basement to the roof. If a smoke detector sounds an alarm, the signal is transmitted to all installed smoke detectors, for example from the hobby room in the basement to the bedroom under the attic.

  • Alarm signal and emergency light when smoke is detected
  • Smoke detectors can be networked with each other
  • VdS certified, Q label
  • Easy and wireless ceiling installation
  • Easy to install, set up and control
  • Also works fully locally: The local SmartHome

Installation and inclusion

The smoke detectors must not be trained with each other and connected to a network before being integrated. When selecting the installation location, make sure that the smoke detector can only be mounted on the ceiling and not on the side of the wall. Pay attention to optimal acoustics. Make sure that there are no flush-mounted cables running at the drilling position!

1. Assembly
  • Mark two attachment points on the ceiling using the holes in the mounting base (G).
  • Drill two holes and insert the dowels.
  • Mount the mounting base with two screws.
2. Insert batteries
  • Insert 3 new AA batteries into the battery compartments (H) with the correct polarity.
  • After inserting the batteries, the LED lights up briefly in succession in the colors red, green and orange.
3. Include device
  • Start your SmartHome app or log in.
  • Now bind the device via . Alternatively, you can search for and integrate the device using the device selection.
  • Check the function of the smoke detector by holding the button pressed for 2 seconds. An acoustic signal then sounds and the LED flashes 10 times.
  • Now place the smoke detector on the mounting base and turn it clockwise until you feel it click into place. The smoke detector (F) cannot be inserted into the mounting base until the batteries have been inserted.

Installation location

Selection of the installation location

The smoke detector may only be mounted on the ceiling. Any other type of mounting, e.g. side wall mounting, is not permitted.

Mounting location on flat ceilings

The smoke detector in the room must be installed in the middle of the ceiling if possible. Maintain a minimum distance of 50 cm from the walls and corners of the room, as this can create a blockage of air that keeps rising smoke away.

Installation location on peaked ceilings

When installing on a peaked ceiling, the device may only be installed approx. 1 m away from the highest point in the room, or even better on a cantilever or roof beam.

Inappropriate mounting locations

For reasons of safety against false alarms, the smoke detector should not be installed in the following rooms or locations:

Inappropriate location Source of error
In the kitchen/bathroom Steam in these rooms trigger false alarms.
Rooms with open fireplace Fire in the fireplace can cause a false alarm.
In the immediate vicinity of halogen lamps, transformers or halogen lamps as well as fluorescent and energy-saving lamps. Electromagnetic interference source can trigger false alarm. A minimum distance of 50 cm must be maintained.
In garages Vehicle exhaust fumes (smoke) lead to false alarms.
In dusty and dirty rooms Measuring chamber becomes dirty quickly or a false alarm is triggered
Near windows, near fans, fans and any other place where there is a lot of air movement Drainage prevents smoke from entering the measuring chamber. Dust particles thrown up can trigger false alarms.
Near places where people smoke. Tobacco smoke causes false alarms.
Near massive steel beams, large metal surfaces, etc. These can significantly hinder the transmission or reception of the radio signal. If necessary, try to move the smoke detector by a few centimeters.
